EngineeringLinks is one of the projects available in the elective subject - Professional Service Project (48901-4). The only prerequisite for this project is one semester of engineering workplace experience.

Through the engineeringLinks project you will be trained in presentation skills and school curriculum needs in a series of compulsory lectures. You can then be linked with a school teacher to develop classroom activities linked to engineers and engineering. You can be trained to support the specific needs of the teacher and classroom with which you are linked. can also link you with community group leaders.

Some possible activities could include: 

  • organising an engineering event or challenge 

  • developing a unit of work for school students 

  • giving a presentation about engineers or an engineering topic 

  • finding information and resources to answers questions for teachers or school students 

  • creating web based-resources 

  • producing posters to support teaching programs 

  • engaging school students in hands-on engineering experiences
