At UTS Engineering we have developed postgraduate coursework and research programs that help to maintain
our standing as an international node offering a wide range of
professional development opportunities to engineers and other
graduates.
In creating and maintaining such courses
we draw on our close links with industry to offer distinctive programs
that are highly regarded by engineering dependent businesses.
Why study postgraduate engineering at UTS?
-
We offer flexibility allowing our students to start
with a diploma or certificate and work their way up to a masters without losing
any time. Students benefit from the ability to gain advanced standing (or
credit) from an engineering specific degree, such as the Master of Engineering
Management, towards a management based degree such as the Master of Business Administration.
-
The
Australian Government has introduced the
Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP) to assist students pay for their
studies. The loans available for postgraduate studies are:
-
FEE-HELP which provides eligible
fee-paying students with a loan to cover their tuition fees
-
HECS-HELP which provides eligible
students in a Commonwealth supported place with a loan to cover
payment of their student contributions.
Conditions apply. Potential students interested in
pursuing this option should refer to the Government website.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN STUDY METHOD
Flexible delivery is a major feature of the
postgraduate programs in engineering.
Postgraduate subjects offered by UTS
Engineering are delivered in a combination of Distance Learning, Block
Release on Campus and Weekly Attendance.
Distance
Learning normally requires no attendance at
University. Contact with lecturers is by email, fax, phone or web.
Block
Release on Campus requires
attendance at UTS for a 'block of study'. A typical block lasts 1.5 days and
students are normally required to attend about three blocks during a single
semester subject.
Weekly
Attendance at a two or three-hour
session is the standard requirement.
Most postgraduate subjects are offered during both the evening and the
day. To find out when the subject you want to take is available
consult the Faculty of Engineering
timetable.
Please note that methods of study vary
depending on the subjects chosen and not all methods of study are available
for all subjects.
