Whatever your specialist field, research at the Faculty of Engineering takes place in an exciting and dynamic environment.”

There's a world of opportunity waiting for you at UTS. The Faculty’s cooperative and collaborative research programs bring you face to face with our partners in science, business, law, government and information technology within and beyond UTS.

Naturally, you’ll find modern laboratory facilities and most of the traditional engineering programs. However, we also recognise the challenges posed by societies undergoing rapid transformation. That’s why we’re prepared to cross traditional boundaries and to link industry and community needs to our research focus.

As recognised leaders in the field of biotechnology, energy systems and infrastructure development, we continue to earn distinctions and awards for teaching and research excellence.

Across Australia and throughout the world, the Faculty is building a network of partners committed to providing long-term collaborative research funding for leading edge projects.

A limited number of scholarships are offered by the University and the Faculty.

“A unique industry advisory network of 20 of the top chief executives in Australia provides the Faculty with strategic advice on the future directions and priorities of industry.”

With programs that build vital skills and knowledge, you can feel confident to develop your research interests here at UTS. With research staff and students from diverse backgrounds and cultures, you can expect to be challenged.

We invite you to join us and explore the many opportunities in research with the Faculty of Engineering at UTS.
