Current school leavers
You are a current school leaver if you will be completing the HSC (or equivalent) in 2012 and will be applying for entry in Autumn 2013.
For current school leavers applications are based on a combination of:
- ATAR score, and
- as a result of the Year 12 Bonus Scheme:
- possible bonus points based on subjects studied for the HSC,
- a completed questionnaire

Non-current school leaver / Mature-age students
You are a non-current school leaver if you area an applicant who has completed the HSC (or equivalent) at least one year prior to their application.
A non-current school leaver may be an individual who has taken a year off following Year 12 to study a university or diploma level course or has been in the workforce for some time.

Non-current school leaver applicants for UTS: Engineering are selected on the basis of academic merit.
